I think it would be a good idea for us to have cards we can hand out at readings, which promote the website and the group. I have made this draft design at Vistaprint who are offering 250 cards for around £8 through Amazon (VAT and postage may be added) Sorry this is vague, but I would have to either order it or go back through the process of design to check the price. If we all wanted favourite pictures added to the design it is possible, just a bit more work.
Other opportunities include t-shirts and pens carrying the CRYPTWRITERS.INFO name.

If the cost is prohibitive it could be done by other means, ie printing from computer, smaller quantities, less permanent inks, for the cost of the materials. (Card, printer inks.) It may not be that much cheaper, but at least the design can be more flexible.
In the recent upheavals at my place I have found a piece of software for making business cards which I must have bought when I was trying to start my own business.
It's no use to me now, so if you would like to have it for designing the Cryptwriters cards you are welcome. Having your own software will also cut down on costs and free you to design as and when you wish.
I'll bring it along with me to the meeting tonight.

Also you have not appeared in the list of contributors for the same reason. The only reason I know about the comment is that it appeared as a notification in my email inbox. It would be best if you either logged on as a google account or created a blogger account so you can participate fully. I doubt if you can post anything the way it is.
Anyway, thank you for the offer. As a Mac user, I doubt any software you have would be of use to me, and in any case I have perfectly adequate software for the task of designing and printing cards or any graphic object. The Vistaprint offer was in any case based on free service and printing, and the cost involved only the postage/packing. They were offering many more items on the same basis, but since no-one responded until now, the offer has expired.
As I said in my second comment it can be done from a computer, but printing inks are not permanent or waterproof. No doubt they will make the offer again, or maybe if you try them they will offer you the same deal. If so, we could work together to get the job done using one piece of background art - the logo and texture - we can upload, and text varying for each individual. That was what I envisaged, but each one would have to go through the process themselves. I can supply the logo/background and the rest is individual choice. Otherwise all can be printed from one artwork original on the computer. I will be getting some inks on Friday.
