OK, RA, I have come from Ancient Egypt and lived all over the world.
I have many names in different cultures and there are as many ways to cook me.
The word Okra above links to an information page which tells how healthy and good for you I am.

So, after the cryp shut you went to 24 hours Tescos and did some further research.... you are good.

Just stick to one principle, do not overdo them. Al dente.

No, this was before the Crypt, and in Penge, a Turkish+ (may even include Polish) delicatessen opposite Sainsburys. I was actually hunting for an optician, and thought of your fingers. I knew of the shop and thought they might have some. It was only half a block further to walk.

Did not actually buy LFs, only avocados.

Should I be flattered? You think of my fingers, and photograph green, hairy, tired looking veg?

AND THEN, you choose an avocado... Must think of revenge.

Three avocados, actually. Sort of Three Graces dilemma. Which to choose? They weren't hairy, anyway. Clean shaven, or never hairy, who knows? Maybe not old enough to be hairy. Where does the hairy image come from? Another species of Okra?
When I was buying the avos I had not done the research on nutrition and health benefits of Okra so did not think of buying, only photographing. No slur intended. I'm sure your fingers are delightful.

I have never done any research on nutrition and health benefits of okra. Must do it, though. You are still not on FB, what a shame. It's king of boring there now.

That link under the picture is very comprehensive. All you ever wanted to know about okra, and more.

Nice of you to say so. Have you forgiven me for altering your layout? They are taking their time with the emailed reset password they promised; maybe they don't want me back.

Forgiven. Finishing red cabbage salad, as we speak.

There you go again. Dribble, slaver.

This may be resurrecting an old subject, but I just found this food related poem by Isobel Dixon: Root Verses. http://www.thesamplerpoetry.co.uk/page12.html
