Frozen kiss

their eyes fixed on each
other's mouths, lips
parted motionless in charged
anticipation

Thanks for posting these two, Ewa. they were on the sheet I passed back to you so I have no copy of them. Good to see them again.
Is this a moment in a movie when action is suspended by a slomo or a still photo? I can almost hear the breath being shared.

I saw this moment in the Tate cafe but it spoke to me because this is the kind of kissing that lovers(/to be) do at the very beginning. Lovely phase.

Very cinematic. What lovely phase? Or phrase?

Give it time, David. Otherwise it can be resisted...

By 'phase' I meant a period, early days of love (and desire) period. Lovely phase.

Aha. As in falling... phasing in. Facing, finding one's reflection in the eyes of a fellow fallen angel.

I meant: love's honeymoon... you know, love does does not flow like water, rather at first like waterfall, later becomes steady as a river before it hits the rocks or gets dilluted up by the routine of canals and consumed by general over-regulation. So that kiss is the anticipation of the waterfall, you can hear it, you imagine it but you have not ridden it yet.

That inspired me to post the blue moon piece. Anticipation... sometimes leads nowhere.
