There was a young man called José
Who was blessed with a massive nosé
When he went to the forum
His nose went before him
And the people would then shout "Olé!"

Before anyone asks, this has a certain autobiographical element.

I do like it. There was a history teacher in my secondary school whose enry was proceeded by her... generous bust. And so we all knew she (Mrs Bart) was near.

There has to be a story here. But please rate it, Bad, Boring, OK, Good, Excellent. Voting is anonymous and I think it accumulates, so highest rating prevails.

But why?

Mainly so it may be seen whether the posted item is worth keeping, maybe putting on the website, or needs looking at again or dumping. Also may be quicker than writing a comment for those who can't spare the time.

I would not like my comment be dumped!

Not the comment, the posting, ie the original work in question. Unfortunately, if the original were deleted, the comments would go with it.

That's also what I mean. Imagine a fun exchange (work of art in itself) ensues around a 1 star (dumpable) entry, then all the babies get thrown out with the water.

Should I rewrite the rules? But all lovers of the comments should rescue the work from oblivion by adding stars! Then I would not have to pull the plug!

I was interested in the story of Mrs Bart, and wondered if there was a relationship with the Simpsons, seeing Bart writing his lines at the beginning of the show, "I must not make up limericks about Mrs Barts bosom."

It developed into an opening chapter in the Mrs Bart story... who wants to read it? (There is no reference in it to the Simpsons).

Hang on, are you writing a Mrs Bart story; about my history teacher?
